What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Director position at Eleanor Nursing Care?
Hudsonwide Health Care is seeking an Admissions Director for our 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Hyde Park, NY. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Nursing Home Admissions Director, and thorough knowledge of all local hospital systems.
Just newly renovated and undergoing additional exciting renovations
Salary is based on Experience
DUTIES :
Coordinating the resident referral and approval process in an efficient & timely manner.
Establishing & maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians & community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facility.
Understand the admissions process including policy, procedures, assessments & paperwork requirements.
Support the facility's marketing efforts to generate a positive image & encourage the cultivation of referrals.
Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare / Medicaid / Managed Care reimbursement processes.
Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition.
Provide appointments for facility presentations and on-site tours.
REQUIREMENTS :
Prior experience as post-acute and long-term care Admissions Director or Admissions Coordinator
Ability to work independently and with the facility interdisciplinary team
Ability to implement the process to achieve desired outcomes
Possess communication, time management, and organizational skills
Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office; preferred experience with Sigma, NAVI and Allscripts.
