Low Voltage Project Manager
Job Overview:
The Low Voltage Project Manager is responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects. The Project Manager works closely with upper management to ensure each project's scope and direction remain on schedule and within budget while coordinating with other departments for support. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assemble, lead, and manage project teams.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines and manpower scheduling are met.
- Create and oversee project budgets, tracking actual spend versus planned budgets using Work In Progress (WIP) reporting.
- Ensure high-quality work standards and maintain client satisfaction.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Evaluate and assess project performance to optimize future projects.
- Implement and manage changes as necessary to meet project deliverables.
- Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with goals.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet project needs.
- Define project tasks and required resources, ensuring alignment with project scope.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are strictly followed throughout project execution.
Qualifications:
- Preferred PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security, access control, and audiovisual systems.
- Proven experience as a project manager in low voltage, electrical, or related fields.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
