Description:
Electric Cable Compounds (ECC) is a growing company that manufactures specialty rubber compounds for the wire and cable industry. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that are goal oriented with an emphasis on “safety,” “quality” and “productivity”. Must be a “team player” and exhibit a positive attitude.
We have immediate openings on allshifts for experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians with knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all manufacturing equipment.
- Completion of preventative maintenance (PM) according to maintenance schedules and assignments.
- Repair and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Must have experience working with mechanical/electrical equipment including conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic valves, cylinders, pumps, motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFD), material feeders, contactors, breakers and electric motor drives.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
- Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance shop and spare parts crib.
- Operate forklift to move material and or equipment.
- Building and facility maintenance.
- Installation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Must be capable of working with personnel at every level of the organization in a team environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Technical school in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Must have working, technical knowledge of the following systems:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Hydraulic
- Pneumatic
- Plumbing
- PLC’s
- Strong working knowledge of electronic circuits and electrical principles.
- Working knowledge of AC & DC motors.
- Must be able to install electrical based equipment.
- Experience using PLC based programs.
- Forklift experience and ability to pass forklift test.
- Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- Must possess good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, climb, stairs and ladders, work on roofs and silos.
- Must be comfortable climbing on top of and under equipment and conveyor belts.
- Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance (PM) programs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Must be dependable and have driver’s license and transportation.
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
- Must have own tools.
Flexible schedule is required. May be required to work overtime during the week and/or on the weekends from time to time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
