Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering electric motors and pumps for various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires an ability to navigate efficiently through designated routes.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles, including those with manual transmission, to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload all products
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each route.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist in moving goods within the warehouse as needed.
- Documenting repair items on forms and inputing data in the computer.
- Assisting in the shop when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with moving and delivering goods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
