What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pickleball Instructor position at Electric Pickle?
Job Summary
We are seeking a couple of enthusiastic and motivated pickleball instructor to join our team. We will be opening a bar and restaurant in the near future in addition to the 6 courts that Electric Pickle currently has. For the time being, we are looking to begin building a pickleball community and would like to begin offering coaching/lessons. We are looking for pickleball coaches who are passionate for the sport and has fair amount of playing experience. Our ideal candidate to coach beginners, lower intermediate and youth clinics/lessons will be someone who plays in the 4.0 skill level. Ideal candidates for a coach looking to coach upper intermediate and advanced lessons is expected to play/have had plenty of playing experience at the 4.5 level and has had some experience coaching. Extra points if you are PPA Coaching Certified!
Duties
- Develop and implement practice plans for clinics and lessons.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills, confidence and performance.
- Organize and lead private and group lessons, adjusting practice plans for different skills levels and goals.
- Maintain equipment and facilities during/after coaching.
- Communicate effectively with players in order to set up lesson times/dates if needed.
- Stay updated on playing styles and game strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience coaching pickleball, teaching/coaching kids or coaching another sport is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with players of various skill levels.
- Ability to create practice plans that cater to different skill levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage your lesson/clinic schedules.
- A positive attitude with a passion for promoting health and fitness!
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory at the time of hiring.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
