Description

Position Summary For Electric Supply Branch Manager: The Branch Manager is focused for the overall operation of the store, and all of its counter sales and warehouse employees in accordance with company policies and procedures. On a day-to-day you are driven to deliver high levels of customer service satisfaction, are determined to support and develop the needs of your your employees, and have the ambition to ensure that customers receive value-add services in a timely and professional manner. Additionally you are determined to create a competitive advantage for the branch, and play an integral role in the financial performance of the branch.

Responsibilities For Electric Supply Branch Manager

General Responsibilities of the Electric Supply Branch Manager:

  • Drive sales revenue, profit, and performance of the branch by maintaining, developing and establishing positive new client relationships
  • Collaborate with various sales departments to achieve market disruption
  • Partner with the project sales team to present bid opportunities
  • Ensure positive customer experience that exceeds customer expectation and is consistent with quality standards
  • Implement customer programs and initiative to maintain branch sales growth
  • Collaborate with other branch managers to set sales goals
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss the goals and ensure that they are clearly communicated
  • Address customer concerns promptly and proactively
  • Participate is company activities to increase moral and promote the organization
  • Engage, present and actively participate in sales meetings focusing on stock and project projections
  • Other sales duties as necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities Of The Electric Supply Branch Manager

  • Responsible for management of the branch personnel including sales, performance, and compliance objectives as well as coaching
  • Engage with Sales vendors to facilitate trainings and develop staff into highly knowledgeable product specialists
  • Examine present training programs with focus on improving and implementing more effective programs
  • Oversee daily workflow of the branch, and collaborate with staff, management, and leadership to remove any operational efficiency barriers, and promote a positive work environment
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee concerns (performance, discipline, terminations, leaves, etc.) to ensure company policy compliance
  • Hire and train qualified candidates for entry-level roles
  • Other Supervisory responsibilities as necessary

Education

Qualifications for the Electric Supply Branch Manager:

  • A minimum of three years in a sales/supervisory role, preferably at an electrical distributor, or 5 years professional experience working in an electrical distribution sales environment
  • Construction and/or electrical industry exposure is a must.
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs and conditions.
  • Possess and demonstrate effective leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to use an ERP.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, product applications and industry sales experience
  • Track record of quota attainment and accountability for revenue achievement
  • Must possess strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of managing and developing counter sales associates
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively to all functions of our business
  • Experience working with Epicor ERP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Efficient time management skills

Working Conditions

  • Professional Electrical Supply / Retail environment
  • Travel to meet with customers necessary
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
