Overview
The Global Program Manager – Transformation & Supply Chain will be located in Southfield, MI and report directly to Mylene Astier, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.
In this role, the dynamic program manager will oversee multiple strategic initiatives to drive our market leadership, including the strategic relocation of business operations from Mexico to various countries in Asia, including China, Thailand, and the Philippines. The program manager will also drive initiatives that consist in monitoring market conditions, supplier pricing, and economic factors impacting cost fluctuations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program/project management, supply chain management, and purchasing program management. This role requires a professional with 8 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to present confidently to management teams across different regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Program Management: Lead multiple strategic initiatives including the critical transfer of production operations from Mexico to key Asian markets such as China, Thailand, and the Philippines — ensuring on‑time, on‑budget execution.
- Reporting to Leadership: Regularly synthesize progress, insights, and challenges into strategic reports for senior management, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering demand alignment, plant readiness, PPAP/UL certification, and regulatory compliance.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain a dynamic risk register and contingency plans.
- Market & Cost Analysis: Monitor market conditions, supplier pricing, and economic factors — conducting data analysis to identify inflationary pressures and quantify impacts
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
- 8 years of program management experience including complex multi-region program management with advanced process skills.
- 8 years of experience in operations, plant, and/or supply chain.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Technical PMP mindset and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and adapt quickly.
- Strong financial and business acumen with hands-on leadership in driving daily decisions.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industries, with wire harness, automotive, or electronics backgrounds considered an advantage.
- Fully fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus.
