Key Responsibilities
This position will report to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations and will be responsible for maintaining ECI’s global infrastructure ensuring availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancements.
As a key member of the senior IT leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring I&O strategy is fully aligned, positioning I&O to deliver compelling business value.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain the global infrastructure consisting of physical and virtual servers, virtual desktops, operating systems, and applications to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancements working closely with regional IT teams
- Manage enterprise-wide compute resources to optimize performance, security, and cost.
- Ability to provide technical support by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with server systems, network, and other computer technology
- Planning and executing the implementation of infrastructure for new applications or system integration and testing working closely with project teams across the organization
- Maintain a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plan, and modern backup solutions to ensure data resilience and operational continuity conducting regular testing and drills
- Oversee firmware and operating system patch management to ensure security, stability, and compliance
- Work with security team to ensure compliance with endpoint security policies (AV, patching, MFA, and DLP controls)
- Manage vendor partnerships and oversee data center operations, ensuring seamless collaboration and support
- Highly organized with ability to document technical systems with consistency
- Team player with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex problems
- Flexibility, commitment, and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, including working on-call nights and weekends
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, required. MA a plus.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft/Azure, CompTIA, Cisco and others are a plus but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in an Enterprise Infrastructure role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience with Cloud and Virtualization: Azure, Hyper-V, VMware
- Experience with XenApp/XenDesktop, Citrix Cloud, Citrix PVS, and Citrix Published Applications, including thin-client deployment and management.
- Experience with Citrix Profile Manager, FSLogix, WEM
- Ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance compute environments in on-prem, cloud, or hybrid models
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, IIS, CA)
- Proficient in firmware and OS patching management
- Proven knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies
- Strong technical proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Perl, CGI, Shell scripting
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles
- Hands-on experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools
- Experience managing database environments (MSSQL, MySQL, Azure Hyperscale)
- Experience in planning and executing domain migrations, ensuring seamless integration of IT systems, user accounts, and infrastructure while maintaining security and operational continuity
- Business process and reengineering experience, with a solid understanding of the relationship between processes and policies
