Key Responsibilities
MRG is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Norwood, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing systems and processes. The candidate should also be proficient in Injection Moulding tasks and will be responsible for operating and maintaining machines in our production facility. Other activities will include assisting junior personnel, quality control, and overall monitoring of the production process.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with process sheet engineering and production to resolve issues/concerns.
- Collaborate with quality department to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with IT on engineering-related needs.
- Injection Molding Area: Set up machinery for operation, operate machinery and equipment according to instructions, perform quality inspections of parts produced, perform basic maintenance and repairs on machinery.
- Successfully plan, manage, and execute projects from start to finish.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Study production and machine requirements.
- Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Design and install equipment.
- Assist with Testing needs for inspection
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Spearhead special projects as needed.
- Analyze project performance, manage resources, lead project teams, and report progress and results.
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance.
- Resolve issues and delays in production.
- Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality.
- Train staff in new and existing processes.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.
- All other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
III. Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or similar education.
- Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role (5 Years Preferred).
- Experience in the harness fabrication process (Preferred).

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office).
- Project management skills.
- Communication skills with customers, managers, and high-level executives.
- Problem-solving ability.
