Responsibilities
• Maintaining computer networks, including physical and virtual servers (VMware and Hyper-V), VPNs, routers, switches, and other physical hardware.
• Installing and configuring computer and network equipment.
• Maintaining firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to protect data and communications.
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management.
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintaining current knowledge, understanding security, and networking best practices to offer company systems the best solutions and protection.
KSA
• Comprehensive understanding of network services such as TCP/IP, NAT, IPSEC, SSL-VPN, QoS, etc.
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and printers
• Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks operate efficiently.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
• Time management.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, from design to implementation.
• Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members and coworkers in other departments who may not know networking technical terminology.
Qualifications
• Proven hands-on server and networking experience (5 years).
• Networking certifications are valued but not required. (Willing to get Fortinet Certifications a must)
• Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC,802.11, QoS).
• Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Solid understanding of setting up and maintaining vLANs.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Cloud Experience a plus (AWS or Azure)
