Electrical Consultants, Inc. The successful candidate will provide drafting and design support for overhead and underground transmission and distribution line projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D by incorporating project survey planimetrics and AutoCAD drawing references to complete assignments efficiently and accurately. This position will support underground transmission and fiber optic projects for both utility and developer clients across ECI. The candidate will be trained by ECI's underground transmission group to assemble electrical design packages at various stages, including conceptual, 10%, 30%, 60%, 90%, Issue for Permitting, and Issue for Construction. Responsibilities include assisting drafters and engineers across multiple offices with design tasks and data input to complete these packages. Work will involve developing overall plan maps, detailed route alignments, duct bank designs, bonding and phasing schematics, Plan and Profile drawings, conduit riser details, and underground fiber assemblies. Effective communication with drafters, engineers, GIS specialists, and survey teams is essential to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field, or an associate degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) technology with a relevant certification. Proficiency with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, is required. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD Map is highly desired, while experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Inventor, or MicroStation is considered a plus. Additionally, the ability to work with Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; proven excellent level of interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and on a team. Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
