JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Perform internal and external technical training on operation and safe testing of electrical power system equipment. 
  • Perform internal training of ERS and HVM field service associates on operation and safe NETA based testing of electrical power system equipment. 
  • Perform external training of ERS and HVM client personnel on operation of electrical power system equipment and electrical safe work practices.
  • Responsible for developing, preparing, and conducting technical training programs. Develop content and instructional materials used in training delivery and design exercises to enhance classroom lecture content. 

​ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • nstruct on operation and safe testing of electrical power systems in accordance with International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) established procedures and practices.

  • repare/Manage classrooms, lab areas, and training equipment.

  • rder training supplies and materials required for scheduled training courses.
  • C
  • onduct presentations and webinars.
  • R
  • eview and incorporate student feedback.
  • P
  • ractice continuous improvement in all aspects of education process.
  • C
  • omplete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • C
  • ollaborate to develop and write training documentation content.
  • C
  • oordinate with subject matter experts to ensure training materials are current and the latest information is being taught.

  • ssist in design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum.

  • ther tasks as required to support the Technical Training program.

NOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    B
  • SEE and four years of related power system experience or graduate of applicable electrical technical school or military equivalent and eight years minimum related work experience.
  • N
  • ETA, NFPA, IEEE, IAEI and/or other professional organization involvement preferred.
  • S
  • trong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as OSHA, NETA, and NFPA, especially NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910, and IEEE 1584 as they relate to electrical safe work practices.

  • FPA Certified Electrical Safety Professional (CESP) is preferred or capable of achieving within 12 months.

  • trong background and experience in all types of low and medium voltage switchgear and power system equipment testing.
  • T
  • horough knowledge of electrical apparatus testing with a strong theoretical understanding of three-phase industrial, commercial, and utility electrical power systems and equipment and a good aptitude for problem evaluation.

  • egularly lift and/or move large test equipment.
  • E
  • xcellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional presentation skills.

  • xcellent organizational and time management skills.
  • P
  • ossess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.

  • etail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.

  • roficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies.  Skills also include editing video and audio files for online content development.

he anticipated salary range for this role in the Colorado locality is between $80,000 to $100,000 per year, salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process. The estimated deadline to submit an application for this role is by December 19, 2024, the company may need to extend the deadline based off the needs of the business and open role. If an extension is needed, the date will be updated accordingly.
