We are an electrical manufacturer’s rep with a growing business looking to expand our inside sales team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, competitive, and a problem solver looking to provide solutions to our established customer base.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
· Engages with customer and provides creative solutions to increase sales and client retention.
· Answers phone calls and assists customers with questions, concerns, and orders meeting customer expectations with appropriate turnaround time.
· Works as a team with the outside sales team to manage key accounts by following up on customer inquiries in a timely manner.
· Tracks outstanding quotes, follows up, and documents all requests with customer and sales partners.
· Meets or exceeds assigned annual sales budget by promoting and selling products for each assigned manufacturer.
· Develops and maintains relationship with manufacturers to negotiate price and delivery on products.
· Carries out sales and promotional programs as directed and recommends new items for stock.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in sales and in the electrical industry preferred.
· Computer Skills: Should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, order processing systems, and manufacturing software. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
· Strong customer orientation.
· Must be comfortable using the telephone for sales activity.
· Successful time management and organization.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists.
