Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Wire Assembler to join our team. This position requires the ability to work with precision, follow technical drawings, measure accurately, and meet weekly production goals in a structured manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, following assembly instructions, and maintaining high-quality standards. We provide on-site training, including both informal instruction and formal certification opportunities, to ensure proficiency in our processes and standards.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with competitive pay and a benefits package that aligns with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wire Assembly & Production:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble wire harnesses, cables, and related components.
- Use hand tools (crimpers, strippers, soldering irons, torque tools, etc.) to properly assemble and terminate wires.
- Measure and cut wire to specified lengths using a ruler and measuring tools with precision.
- Follow a production schedule to meet weekly output expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Inspect work to ensure proper assembly and adherence to company and industry standards.
- Identify and report any defects or discrepancies in materials or workmanship.
- Maintain organization of materials and tools at the workstation.
- Training & Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training and work toward formal certifications as required.
- Continually learn new techniques and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Work as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency and problem resolution.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components using hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and measurements.
- Basic math skills for measurements and wire cutting.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to a full 40-hour work week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in wire assembly, cable manufacturing, or electronics assembly.
- Familiarity with crimping, soldering, and wire harness assembly techniques.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Previous formal training or certification in wire assembly (IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent) is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
- Standard manufacturing environment with a focus on precision and quality work.
- Hands-on role requiring standing, manual assembly, and the use of hand tools for extended periods.
- Training provided at both informal and formal certification levels to ensure success in the role.
