Job Description:
Qualified Candidates will have experience with electropolishing stainless steel parts as well as grinding, polishing and buffing. This position uses hand and pneumatic tools for polishing food and pharmaceutical grade finishes. Attention to detail is needed with the ability to visually identify particular defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grinding, polishing, and buffing of stainless-steel parts to meet strict pharmaceutical industry standards. Materials will have unusual recesses, radii and contours.
- Operate and maintain polishing tools and equipment, ensuring safety and precision at all times. Must be able to select method, dressing and abrasive.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure surface finish quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform electropolishing tasks, as needed, to enhance surface quality and meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grinding, polishing, and buffing stainless steel parts.
- Highly preferred: Previous experience in electropolishing/electroplating.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Familiarity with safety standards and proper handling of polishing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
- Must lift and carry parts of various sizes, shape and weight – 50 lbs. maximum.
