What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Electrolock Inc.?
Summary:
Primary responsibilities for the machine operator will be for the setup, running, and quality control of their assigned machine center. Additional responsibilities will include shipping and packing as needed.
Duties:
· Following a production schedule to ensure on-time customer deliveries
· Maintaining written and computerized setup sheets
· Complying with production order forms and customer specifications
· Setting up and running the assigned machine center
· Taking dimensional measurements to confirm product is within tolerance
· Gathering from the warehouse the tooling and material needed for each job
· Packaging and labeling orders according to setup instructions and customer specifications
· Using supporting machinery such as a core cutter, tow motor, scissor lift, lift cart, automated shrink wrapper, and measuring equipment
Other Responsibilities:
· Working cooperatively throughout the day with other members of the production team, as well as customer service and engineering
· Keeping work area clean and organized
· Ensuring a safe work environment
· Notifying the plant foreman of any deviation in quality, production timing, or plant safety
Qualifications:
· Problem Solving Skills- Must be able to determine the solutions to issues with production quality
· Attention to Detail- Electrolock is committed to sending a quality product to our customers
· Math Skills- Fractions and basic algebra are used to establish machine setups as well as needed material amounts
· Technical Aptitude- Familiarity with machinery, computers, and basic tools make it easier to learn the skills needed at Electrolock
· Motivation- Employees should be self-driven
· Good Work Ethic- Employees should do a day’s work in a day
· Professional Demeanor- Respect and professionalism are an everyday must
· Team Mentality- Team work and helping others ensures an efficient and content workforce
· Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, and materials required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
