Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide support throughout the Assembly department with the goal of producing the highest-quality products on time that meet or exceed customer expectations. Assists supervisor in training associates, follow-up on quality-related issues. Assists with change overs and scrap recovery / documentation. Team Member should be able to perform all job responsibilities within their work area to assist / backfill as the result of absenteeism and / or unscheduled breaks.
This position is filled through the interview process. Candidates are selected based on skill and ability, not seniority alone
QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS :
- Must have good command of the English language; be able to communicate clearly and concisely, read and interpret JDS and instructional materials.
- Must have good basic math skills.
- Able to identify and record scrap in a timely accurate manner
- Able to perform all jobs within assigned area.
- Able to perform all tasks in assigned work area
- Able to use air tools and hand tools necessary to perform position.
- Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and lift 40 pounds repetitively.
- Able to stand for most of the shift.
- Mechanically oriented and willing to learn to back up machine operators.
- Brazing certification is required. Selected team members will be given the opportunity to attain certification prior to being accepted in this role.
- Must be in Good Standing (3.50 Attendance points or less and no written warning corrective actions in the past 6 months).
