You will be based Fletcher, NC. The shift will start at 6 :00 am and end at 2 :30 pm or 3:00pm depending on the production schedule. This role supports the production line and will follow production needs.

SUMMARY

Shipping Specialists are responsible for processing orders complete and shipping on time to customers.

Your main tasks:

• Execute the processes and steps detailed in the Shipping Department’s work instructions, standard operating procedures, forms, and other associated documentation.
• Conduct quality audits on the pieces being processed to verify conformity with work instructions.
• All Shipping Specialists focus on the pillars of EMS and the principles guiding Teamship to constantly improve the Shipping Department and their own work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by conducting 5S tasks and other related activities
• Maintain a flexible schedule and be able to adjust to the changing needs of the department
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects the principles of Teamship
• “Move with the volume”, after completing the work in your immediate area move to another area to help the rest of the team
• Perform all work, tasks, projects, or duties as assigned to you by your Lead, Supervisor, or Manager in a timely manner and with an acceptable level of quality

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis
• Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
• Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending
• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet
