Team Leader
ABOUT YOUR TASKS:
- Lead a team of 4-10 production associates to fulfill all safety, quality, production, cost and people driven metrics and responsibilities.
- Responsible and accountable for all quality and production quantity produced by the team
- Participate and lead aspects of the Lean Operating System including but not limited to GEMBA board meetings and team start up meetings.
- Fill in for department supervisor in his/her absence.
- Must be able to perform basic technical functions in the team
- Must be able to lead and direct peers as required.
- Must be able to follow and hold teams accountable to company policies.
- Must be active in Safety programs/initiatives
- Assist quality personnel with analyzing and taking action on problem solving and customer responses
- Responsible for ensuring line running in proper sequence per the production schedule and aligned with supervisor direction
- Progressing labor as units/production is completed throughout the day.
- Safely operate all tooling or equipment needed for the team
- Ability to train and develop new team members to standard work and on team specific job functions.
- Responsible for a clean and orderly work area.
- Responsible for inventory control in the teamwork area
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must a driver and self-motivated
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Must have ability to develop relationships with team and lead them through day-to-day activities
- Must be able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, work orders, BOMs, and other documents.
- Must have above average communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be familiar with ERP system usage.
- Must be able to operate various hand tools, including air tools, etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted / 50 lbs. assisted.
- Must complete the Career Readiness Certification (or proof of an associate’s degree)
TRAINING CURRICULUM:
- All Team Leaders will be required to attend and complete training and development including but not limited to Basic Manufacturing Skills course (or equivalent) and team leader development programs.
ABOUT YOU:
- High School education or GED equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
- Two years manufacturing experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Frequently (34-66%): Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Lifting/Pulling/Pushing
- Regularly (67-100%): Seeing/Hearing/Standing/Walking/Fingering/Grasping/Feeling
