OPEN POSITION
Title: Materials/Supply Chain Manager
Shift: 1ST SHIFT
Grade: 12
DUTIES:
Supervises procurement, planning, machine shop and stockroom/shipping/receiving teams to ensure quality and timely parts for manufacturing/customer. Flex inventory levels to meet the future sales plan.
Plans and assigns responsibilities, recommends improvements in methods and processes, and implements policies and procedures.
- Supervise, coach, communicate, train, lead and mentor the materials team staff.
- Assists with negotiations of suppliers for good and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.
- Establishes purchasing & inventory policies too ensure compliance.
- Assist in the development of new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
- Conduct supplier and internal quality audits.
- Assist all manufacturing managers in planning and maintaining production schedules.
- Assists manufacturing managers with performance measures and provides regular progress reports.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas; constantly utilizing best practices.
- Leader of assessing and implementing process improvements and all Orange activities.
- Owner of flexing inventory and maintaining proper inventory levels with the sales status.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business related area, or a minimum of 10 years experience, in procurement & materials environment, plus a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- The ability to effectively influence others.
- Demonstrated strong negotiating skills.
- Solid decision making skills.
- Proficient in office organization and management.
- PC Proficiency.
- MRP and ERP Proficiency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $111,618.00 per year
