What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Engineering & Quality position at Electromech Technologies?
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing engineering resources to achieve the Company's objectives related to both new product development and the ongoing maintenance and improvement of legacy products. This role actively contributes to high-level strategic decisions that impact multiple departments across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads key engineering projects and provides direct supervision to project and design engineers.
- Manages departmental resources and establishes work priorities in alignment with organizational goals.
- Reviews and evaluates engineering processes, data, and analysis prepared by team members to ensure technical accuracy and efficiency.
- Provides expert guidance on appropriate design methodologies and technologies for new product development and enhancement of existing products. Responsible for the technical success of assigned projects.
- Collaborates closely with Manufacturing and Quality departments to evaluate and support process improvements and quality assurance efforts for both new and existing products.
- Partners with Sales and Program Management teams to allocate engineering resources that support business development and the pursuit of new market opportunities.
- Participates in business travel as required to support sales initiatives and fulfill corporate obligations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least fifteen years of experience in engineering or project management (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and certification requirements.
- Proven track record of innovation, creative problem-solving, and successful project execution.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and dedication to client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Candidate must meet Export control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.
