The Financial Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager, FP&A and Sales Operations and is a key business partner with functional leaders across the business, including sales and marketing, operations, and accounting. Key responsibilities include modeling, forecasting, and reporting on revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses, as well as maintaining and improving internal data analytics and insights.
Job Outcomes You Must Get:
- Partner with the Sr. Manager, FP&A and Sales Operations to develop detailed financial models and analysis across all areas of the business including long-range planning, annual budgeting, revenue, costing, operating expenses, balance sheet items and cash flow
- Proactively identify process-improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and successfully drive implementation across a wide variety of finance and accounting processes
- Provide key support for audits by external entities, including interaction with the external auditors, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information and providing analysis as requested
- Perform ad hoc projects in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, FP&A and Sales Operations
- Maintain and improve travel and expense reporting, including annual filing of Sunshine Act reporting
- Monthly, assist with Inventory & COGS entries, financial statements, as well as financial reporting for quarterly and annual filings
- Entry and analysis of cost and variances for material purchases and manufacturing costs
- Effectively assist in period-end close processes, including developing analysis and support of key entries and preparing accurate & timely monthly reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Support physical inventories and plants cycle count program
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly adaptable and flexible
- Excellent attention to detail while also able to see the big picture
- Strong technical GAAP/Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge to ensure accuracy & integrity of GAAP financials filed with the SEC
