About the Role
The General Foreman is a working leader responsible for overseeing the successful installation of complex electronic systems on-site. You’ll guide and support field technicians, ensure high standards of workmanship, communicate job progress, and keep projects moving forward. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, making it perfect for someone who leads by example and takes pride in delivering excellent work.
General Foreman Responsibilities
- Conducts site assessments and coordinates with Project and Install Managers on installation requirements
- Oversees the daily work of installation technicians and ensures compliance with technical standards
- Installs racks, pulls and terminates cabling, mounts equipment, and labels systems per ECC standards
- Configures systems including IP addressing, VLANs, DSPs, and control systems for AV and networked devices
- Performs equipment testing and job closeout inspections to ensure system readiness and cleanliness
- Provides professional on-site leadership and serves as the point of contact for clients and other trades
- Documents job progress, communicates with project teams, and identifies potential change orders
General Foreman Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems
- CTS-I certification or equivalent technical knowledge preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, structured cabling, and electronic system installation
- Ability to read scopes of work, blueprints, and schematics
- Comfortable working independently or leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, email communication, and timekeeping systems
- Must be able to travel frequently and work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
