Normal office environment
9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
Hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office/week

Job Description:
The position of Buyer is Responsible for performing skilled activities related to the purchasing and negotiation of materials and supplies from suppliers.
- Obtain competitive quotations and select suppliers based on quality, cost, lead-time, service and financial stability
- Concentration on the total cost of ownership of purchased parts, including purchased price, logistics costs, quality costs, and inventory
- Self-motivated, pro-active, and persistent in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
- Implement inventory control programs and procurement strategies such as, VMI & KANBAN to achieve cash flow and inventory turns objectives without compromising material availability
- Continuously improve and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Constantly monitors inventory levels, production scheduling demand and executes to the MRP exception messages
- Mentors entry level Buyers
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5 years of purchasing experience, Electronic Manufacturing Services industry preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven procurement negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer documentation, safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong negotiating skills internally and externally
- Ability to solve complex problems in situations standard to the area of specialty
- Works under minimal supervision and demonstrates strong skills in reasoning and analysis
