Job Description:
The position of Master Scheduler monitors the capacity and long-range sales planning and scheduling system in accordance with customer or Program Management requests. Also develops manufacturing plans and schedules for products to be produced.
- Develops plans and schedules of manufacturing activities on product lines from engineering release through to product delivery
- Approves or rejects schedule change requests submitted by PM or Sales and develop schedules in accordance with machine and manpower capabilities and physical/capital resources
- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of charts, graphs and written reports outlining current status against schedules, Makes recommendations for resource allocation
- Analyze deviations from schedules and the reasons for schedule variance including their cost implications, the impact on the immediate tasks, the impact on the total program, and the corrective action to be taken
- Leads production meetings
- Assists in decision making process affecting manufacturing plans and schedules
- Analyzes, develops and recommends capacity plans to meet demand requirements
- Works with site teams to maintain data in system to generate accurate and timely capacity plans
- Works with site management on 6 - 12 month SIOP providing longer-term analysis for capital and resource planning
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling in more complex accounts, required
- Experience in the Electronic Manufacturing Industry and ERP, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
