EMS/PaymentCloud, a leader in the Payments Industry is seeking an experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join our exceptional leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all revenue streams within the organization. The focus will be on managing the organizations various revenue teams (Inside, ISV and Third Party), as well as strategic planning, product development, and partnerships. The CRO will have the ultimate accountability in aligning all revenue-generating departments and building strategic partnerships, to help drive the company’s profitability and success. This position will be based in Los Angeles, California and may require some travel.
We are looking for a high-energy, sales-driven individual with deep expertise in revenue generation, team management, and strategic planning. The candidate should possess strong leadership qualities and the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
Objectives of this role
- Establish both short-term and long-term revenue goals ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision.
- Create workflows to allow cross-functional teams to collaborate on shared goals.
- Identify the most profitable markets and target customer groups for the company’s products and services.
- Oversee sales operations and implement best practices for pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.
- Focus on identifying, assessing and mitigating potential risks that could hinder the organizations goals.
- Must stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Establish performance metrics, track key performance indicators and conduct regular assessments to evaluate the impact of revenue initiatives.
- Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and other C-suite executives to ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts to drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Empower your team to share valuable insights, identify growth opportunities and address challenges collectively to strengthen the company’s position in the market.
- Keep a close eye on market trends and what other competitors are doing to stay ahead. Swiftly adapt sales strategies to align with the changing market conditions.
- Create opportunities for collaboration and innovation with our merchants, agents and partners, turning simple transactions into enduring partnerships.
- Mentor and develop the sales teams to foster a high-performance culture.
- Build and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention and lifetime value.
- Leverage analytics and data insights to monitor performance, identify internal trends and drive improvements in revenue generating activities.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or Related Field
- Minimum 10 years or more in a Revenue team leadership role, with past responsibility in driving and implementing revenue growth
- Proven sales-based track record through new-product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships and scaling revenue and achieving ambitious growth targets.
- Significant experience in the payments industry with a heavy focus on management and P&L supervision
- Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively
- Inspirational leadership style with a hands-on approach and be able to guide the various sales channels and teams to established KPI’s and Business Metrics.
- Must be energetic, forward-thinking and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to assess and ultimately determine if the compensation structures are appropriate for driving to the companies assigned goals
