Position Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative / Expeditor to join our sales team. This role involves direct customer communication, order management, scheduling, and internal coordination between departments. The position offers opportunities for career growth in sales or other areas within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing pricing, quotes, and product recommendations.
- Assist with quotes, contract reviews, and sales order processing.
- Send order confirmations and provide updates to customers.
- Maintain customer contact information and foster strong relationships.
- Participate in weekly sales and production meetings.
- Help maintain the ERP database for sales and production tracking.
- Provide shipment notifications and coordinate with the accounting team.
- Serve as a liaison between production and customers for scheduling and updates.
- Support front office and accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience (sales experience preferred).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Access is a plus).
- Strong math and writing skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience in customer service and/or sales.
