Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic will work with other key members of National Operations and facility management to maintain, install, troubleshoot, or repair industrial production and processing machinery, along with helping upkeep the facility premises. Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment failures, and support continues improvement initiatives to minimize downtime in the recycling environment.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

Helps lead crew in properly performing routinely preventative maintenance on the shredder, conveyors, balers, and other assigned equipment.
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts on equipment and machinery.
Disassemble, replace, repair, and reassemble any broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
Examine mechanical and electrical issues to identify defects (i.e. breakage) or excessive wear on equipment and machine parts.
Find corrective actions that will lead to long-term solutions.
Schedule maintenance, installation, and repairs of machinery and equipment with minimal disruption to production.
Observe, analyze, test, and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using testing devices (i.e. voltmeter), test results, machine error messages, and other testing devices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Reports any malfunctions, electrical issues, or safety concerns to maintenance manager.
Record and maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of repairs, preventative tasks, compliance-based checklists, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities.
Using welding equipment and metal fabrication to help with equipment repairs or other project need.
Helps maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment to ensure while working to achieve least amount of cost.
Calibrate and adjust machinery for peak performance.
Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, and sensors.
Replace or repair electrical components as needed, ensuring proper function and compliance with safety standards.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
