As a key member of Electronic System Services, Inc. (ESSI), the Building Automation Technician will be responsible for field commissioning of HVAC automation systems. This role ensures the proper operation of HVAC systems by reviewing drawings, confirming sequences of operation, and verifying point-to-point connections in the field. The technician works closely with the project team to deliver a fully functional system to the customer.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Review & Scope Breakdown : Review project specifications, drawings, and documents before beginning work. Break down the scope of work into manageable segments and communicate with the Project Manager for reporting.
- Project Coordination : Attend or receive meeting minutes from project team meetings with customers. Provide the Project Manager with updates on site conditions.
- As-Built Documentation : Produce project-specific as-built drawings based on initial construction drawings and field modification mark-ups.
- Standards Compliance : Cooperate in the establishment and enforcement of engineering and programming standards to ensure consistency across projects.
- System Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field related to installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality & Customer Satisfaction : Maintain the highest quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the commissioning process.
