Our client is seeking a full time detail-oriented, creative, and well-organized Applications Manager to oversee the management, optimization, and performance of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless integration between platforms, supporting business operations, and maintaining the overall health of key systems, including ERP (SouthWare or NetSuite), EDI, order fulfillment systems, WMS platforms, and e-commerce tools like Shopify and Salesforce.
The Application Manager will work closely with IT, Operations, and Business Teams to ensure software systems are running optimally, error-free, and aligned with business needs. They will also support the helpdesk by addressing application-related issues and ensuring a smooth user experience.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Management & Optimization
- Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and enhancement of ERP systems (SouthWare, NetSuite, or similar).
- Ensure seamless integration between EDI, order fulfillment, WMS platforms, and ecommerce tools (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce).
- Monitor application performance and proactively resolve system errors and inefficiencies.
System Integrations & Performance Monitoring
- Manage integrations between ERP, EDI, WMS, and third-party applications to ensure seamless dataflow and process automation.
- Work with SQL Server to troubleshoot and optimize database queries supporting business applications.
- Create and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into system performance, integrations, and operational metrics.
- Maintain system health by proactively monitoring logs, dashboards, and error reports to minimize downtime and performance bottlenecks.
Helpdesk & User Support
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise applications, ensuring minimum disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Support the IT Helpdesk in resolving application related issues, assisting with troubleshooting, and escalating as needed.
- Collaborate with IT and business users to gather feedback, identify pain points, and drive process improvements.
System Enhancements & Process Automation
- Identify and implement workflow automation to improve efficiency across applications.
- Develop custom scripts (HTML, JavaScript, or SQL) to enhance system functionality, reporting, and automation where applicable.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance business operations and improve scalability.
Ticketing & Issue Resolution
- Utilize Jira for ticket management, tracking system issues, prioritizing bug fixes, and coordinating new feature implementations.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of system related tickets, minimizing disruption to business operations.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, workflows, and integration processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for data security, application management, and system upgrades.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of experience in application management, ERP administration, or enterprise software support.
- Experience managing or setting up ERP systems (SouthWare, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong background in business applications, vendor management, and enterprise software strategy.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders to align applications with company goals.
- Experience with EDI, order fulfillment, WMS platforms, and ecommerce tools (Shopify, Salesforce, Commerce Hub, True Commerce, or similar).
- Proficiency in SQL Server for query optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Experience with HTML and JavaScript for customizing dashboards, user interfaces, and minor system enhancements.
- Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with change management and software implementation projects.
- Familiarity with process automation and workflow improvement methodologies.
- Experience using Jira for ticket management and issue resolution tracking.
