What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detail Drafter position at Electronic Theatre Controls?
Representative Responsibilities
- Assist Mechanical Engineers andDesignerswith documentation necessary for the successful manufacturing of ETC products. This would include assisting with creating and updating the following per ETC standards.
- Detailed part drawings for Prototype, PVU, Prototype builds, Pilot BuildsandProduction operations
- Detailed Wire harness drawings
- Simple Assembly drawings
- Other engineering documentation as required
- ExecuteRevisions to part drawings, wire harness drawings, and assembly drawings
- Prepare and process Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
- Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations and standards
- Maintain CAD models and drawings and their corresponding Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Ensure information related to drawings is accurately reflected in the manufacturing system and updated in the appropriate databases
- Provide time estimates for task completion
- Attend appropriate training classes as needed
- Participates as a team member and works effectively in a team environment.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
- Takedirectionsfrom othersand work closely with team members
- Perform basic assembly operations with simple hand tools for prototype testing and evaluation
- Maintain individual task lists, and log individual time in approved timekeeping program.
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or its equivalency (GED) and additional specialized training or 2-4 years of experience or,
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Strong mathematical skillsand technical aptitude
- General computer skills and experience with MS Office programs
- Basic drafting skillsor training in drafting methods and CAD training
- Previous3DCAD experience preferred.AutoCAD,SolidWorks, Creo, Pro/Engineer.:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills
- Demonstrate Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to follow directions and project plans.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
