What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Set-Up Operator/Shear & Forklift 1st Shift position at Electronic Theatre Controls?
Representative Responsibilities :
- Manufactures parts to the standards and specifications
- Sets up and operates the insertion and Shear machines
- Follows procedures and selects tools and materials
- Ensures work orders are completed
- Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled
- Ensures machines are running at full capacity for each job
- Completes paperwork correctly, labels parts per work order and forwards the product to the next station
- Maintains continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs for the next shift
- Ensures product quality meets standards by frequently checking work
- Builds parts to quality standards within specified tolerance as reflected on print
- Follows ISO procedures
- Uses appropriate documentation, e.g. ECRs, and NCMR, to identify and communicate issues
- Completes machine maintenance in a timely manner
- Reports all identified problems to the team leader or manager
- Maintain tools regularly and informs team lead or manager of tooling needs
- Adheres to safety standards at all times
- Ensures that safe methods and practices are used
- Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines
- Wears personal protective equipment as required
- Identifies and reports safety issues to management
- Learns new tasks and procedures as needed
- Listens to, understands and follows instructions while learning new assignments
- Recognizes unusual circumstances and asks questions when necessary
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept and tools are returned to designated area
- Operates forklift as needed
- Maintains sheet metal scrap for the department
- Monitors scrap levels and inform management of disposal with proper notice
- Organizes the disposal of gaylords for scrap metal
- Unloads trucks and receives materials in from vendors
