The Indiana University Libraries seek an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative Electronic Resources Licensing Librarian. Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions in the Technical Services Division, the Electronic Resources Licensing Librarian will provide leadership and expertise in managing all aspects of library electronic resources licensing. They will play a pivotal role in the IU Libraries’ efforts to meet current and emerging information needs and provide access to a broad and diverse collection of scholarly content. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across the Libraries, the Bloomington campus, and the Indiana University system of campuses to support the IU Libraries licensed electronic resources program. The successful candidate will also be a primary liaison with publishers, content providers, and consortia to support electronic resources licensing and management for Indiana University Libraries.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage library electronic resources license negotiation, execution, and management for Indiana University Bloomington Libraries and, when applicable, the Indiana University system of campuses; lead in developing and expanding licensing guidelines and parameters for Indiana University Libraries.
- Provide leadership and collaboration in developing workflows and policies for managing the IU Libraries e-resource licensing and acquisitions program in partnership with stakeholders engaged in the electronic resources life-cycle.
- Represent IU Libraries as the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) Electronic Resource Officer (ERO) and within other relevant consortial and professional venues related to electronic resources licensing, acquisition, and management.
- Provide information, training, and guidance to stakeholders within the IU Libraries and throughout the University on the requirements and acceptable terms of use of licensed library electronic resources.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with appropriate personnel in library units (e.g., Collections, Library Technologies, Research & Learning Services, Scholarly Communications), campus units (e.g., Office of General Counsel, Offices of Vice President and Vice Provost for Research, University Information Technology Services), and regional campuses of Indiana University.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external entities, including content providers, publishers, and library consortia.
- Oversee and maintain electronic resources licensing information and applicable contract management systems.
- Serve and contribute to applicable management & leadership teams and represent the IU Libraries at the local, state, and national levels.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $62,000 - $72,000 per year; benefits include a university healthcare plan, a university-funded base retirement plan, a 100% university-paid group life insurance plan, and a generous paid time off plan.
