The Role
As a Business Development Manager and Sales Consultant in the Orlando, Florida Area, you will be crucial in expanding our presence in the K-12 and youth organization markets in Orlando and surrounding areas. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant social impact while driving business growth in a dynamic start-up environment.
YOU MUST LIVE IN THE ORLANDO , FLORIDA OR THE AREA
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and implement market strategies to achieve personal quota goals and corporate targets.
● Ability to conduct software/app demos online and/or in person on a laptop.
● Conduct in-person sales consultations (70% travel) with diverse stakeholders including:
○ School districts
○ Public, private & charter schools
○ Homeschool communities
○ Micro schools
○ Youth organizations
○ Sports organizations
○ Curriculum directors
○ Administrators
○ Non-profit directors and boards
○ Government funding bodies
● Cultivate and close opportunities with schools, youth organizations, foundations, government agencies, pro-sports and media personalities, and philanthropists
● Build strong business relationships to secure referrals and testimonials
● Contribute to the company's partnership and revenue plan
● Represent the company at conferences and networking events
● Engage prospects in consultative, problem-first discussions and align their needs with our solutions
● Translate complex technological features and data into tangible, relatable outcomes for all stakeholders
Qualifications
● 5 years of experience in business development or sales in SaaS, Tech, or AI sectors
● Proven track record in solution-based sales and business development methods
● Experience in selling to diverse buying groups and navigating complex organizations
● Must have existing contacts in our distribution channels in the Orlando area.
● Understanding of SaaS, and technology solutions
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to sell a vision and secure buy-in from various stakeholders.
● Proficiency in CRM systems
Good to Have but Not Mandatory
● Daily use and deep understanding of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude/Anthropic)
● Ability to leverage AI for streamlining administrative workflows and enhancing sales strategies
● Experience in soliciting corporate sponsorships (preferred)
● Prior start-up experience (preferred)
