Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Health & Wellness is a healthcare professional responsible for assisting the Director of Health & Wellness

Essential Functions
- Works directly with the Director of Health & Wellness to ensure effective, efficient daily operations, and consistent quality
- Responsible for the daily management and oversight of the memory support area to include supervision of community-based

- Participates in care conferences with residents and family members to discuss resident needs and appropriate service delivery
- Assists with the onboarding of Care Team members.
- Works with team members to implement Company directed policy, procedure, and applications.
- Collaborates with the Director of Health and Wellness to manage monthly team member schedules, arranges replacement
- Assist in move-in and return process for new and returning residents.
- Conducts evaluations and assessments of potential, new, and current residents, as directed.
- Oversees the medication management program in partnership with the Director of Health & Wellness to include order

- Performs ongoing observation of resident physical and psycho-social needs and coordinates with Care team to drive
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly safety and infection control checks of the community and grounds, assisting the

- Assures in-house ancillary medical services such as podiatrist, doctor visits, psych visits, labs, x-ray, ambulance, etc. are
- Participates in the maintenance of resident records including review of documentation performed by resident assistants,
- Requires assuming the role and responsibilities of a caregiver or medication technician, in order to meet resident needs and
- Assures that all resident assistants / caregivers are familiar with the residents’ individual conditions and needs and are trained
- Collaborate with the Director of Health and Wellness to conduct team member coaching, performance reviews, and retention
- Works with the community leadership team to ensure team member completion of required training and education.
- Maintains / monitors resident centered service plans for residents. Coordinates bathing and shower schedules in alignment
- Collaborates with the Director of Health & Wellness to promote team member and resident safety and implement strategies
- Responds in a timely manner to requests of residents, families, guests, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts.
- Supports DHW in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations as applied to services
documentation, and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines, and any other rule that applies
to the safe, consistent operation of the community.
- Supports community leadership team in identifying, developing, and implementing continuous quality improvement

- Management experience and demonstrated ability to manage a team. Minimum of three years’ experience in assisted living
Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements
- Current CPR / First Aide Certification
- Preferred experience in the senior living environment, specifically dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Experience with medication pass and certified as Med Tech as required by state law.
- In accordance with state law, may need to possess current state certification and follow regulations to maintain certification
- Must meet all health requirements, including TB.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Minimum of 18 years old.
- Strong clinical leadership skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
