ELEMENT Engineering Group is currently seeking a Senior Drainage/Stormwater Engineer to join our growing design team in either Tampa or Orlando. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as lead technical Drainage Project Engineer and/or Drainage Engineer of Record (EOR)
- Direct and assist the drainage design and plans production for transportation-related projects
- Direct and assist drainage analyses and calculations
- Direct and assist the preparation of reports, specifications, and engineer estimates
- Perform and assist quality control reviews
- Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Support marketing pursuits and business development efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer registered in Florida
- Experience reviewing or designing to meet drainage design standards, including the FDOT Design Manual, FDOT Standard Plans, and FDOT Drainage Manual
- Experience reviewing or obtaining environmental resources permits through Florida’s water management districts and/or FDEP
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or Open Roads Designer (ORD)
- Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Design and Analysis (SUDA)
- Experience with ICPR
- Experience with HY-8
- Experience with HEC-RAS preferred
