Subrogation Negotiator Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, settle, and resolve auto property damage claims with adverse parties.
- Maximize collections in the shortest cycle time possible on behalf of customers, while providing exceptional customer service and industry guidance.
- Profile new and existing accounts, initiate collection recoveries through verbal and written communications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Pursue claims and secure/negotiate timely collections while maximizing recovery from at-fault third parties or customer carriers (Canada).
- Process claims involving uninsured motorists, including payment plan negotiations and evaluation for legal and/or collections referral.
- Review at-fault parties' financial capabilities to ensure all possible avenues of recovery have been examined.
- Evaluate claims to decide if they should be referred to arbitration, suit, or collections, preparing such claims for advancement and scheduling follow-up with vendors.
Requirements:
- College degree and 2 years of insurance industry experience or 4 years of subrogation, collections, or negotiations experience.
- MS Office, Excel (with functions, pivots, and data sorting), and PowerPoint (for creating summary presentations) skills.
- Estimating or ICar Training/knowledge is preferred.
- Candidate compensation will depend on their knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and market data alignment.
