What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Element Hotel?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced kitchen staff member to assist with the daily operations of our food services.
The responsibilities of the kitchen staff include, but are not limited to, food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and ensuring the kitchen areas are compliant with health and safety regulations.
Our ideal candidate is a team player, has excellent multitasking abilities, and is able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables
Prepare simple dishes like salads, entrees and sandwiches under the direction of the cook/chef
Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment
Assist in inventory management and restocking of kitchen supplies
Help in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen area before and after service hours
Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
Without assistance, carry, place, move, or lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds; with assistance for items beyond 25 pounds.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a food service role is a plus
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to work in a team
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Physical endurance to stand and move during the length of the shift
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
