Responsibilities:
This role encompasses approximately 70% estimating and 30% project controls, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Lead budgeting by coordinating with project teams and vendors to develop detailed cost estimates for our integration projects.
- Develop high-level rough order of magnitude pricing for material handling system integration projects leveraging rules of thumb and historical data.
- Develop preliminary schedules and rough pricing estimates using historical data.
- Review drawings and other relevant documents, create RFQs for equipment and services, and present budgets to sales and leadership.
- Track market trends affecting pricing and lead times.
- Support sales teams with proposals and presentations as needed.
- Continuous follow-up of active projects including invoicing, monitoring and identifying risks for cost overruns, and contributing to profitability of projects through financial data and fact-based analysis.
- Act as the link between finance and project managers.
- Analyze completed projects to understand performance and identify lessons learned
Desired skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
- Professional experience in project cost estimating, project controls, procurement, or engineering is desirable.
- Strong interest in integration projects and a passion for cost estimation, with a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Working experience with Dynamics F&O, or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Working experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.

This position is primarily office-based to ensure hands-on collaboration with our team, especially during the initial training and onboarding period. Once you are fully trained and confident in your role, we’re happy to offer some flexibility to accommodate your work-life balance while maintaining our commitment to teamwork and project excellence.
