(3rd Shift) UT Level II inspector

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector, Nas 410 Level I and Level II to perform Testing using specific techniques on aerospace products. Uses knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment set-up, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures. Interprets and evaluates test results.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
  • Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations
  • Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Level I technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Actively contribute to company safety culture by observing all company safety policies and procedures
  • Use caution and proper handling of company property, equipment, tools, and customer product
  • Maintain a high level of energy to deliver customer parts on time or ahead of schedule

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • NAS 410 Level 1 or Level 2 experience (or equivalent) with documented evidence of qualification.
  • Written Communication: ability to read and interpret information, write legibly, take accurate measurements from a tape measure, present numerical data effectively, and edit work for correct spelling and grammar
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to problem solve and analyze information skillfully
  • Ability to clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and all others throughout the organization in a professional manner
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Proficiency using computers (word, & excel)
  • Sufficient vision, either natural or corrected, with ability to pass annual vision examsNOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
