Construction Materials Testing Technician Intern

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing Intern to work in our Construction MaterialsEvaluation (CME) department. Your primary function in this role is to provide construction representative testingand inspection services on various land development, roadway, airport, and construction building projects.

Salary: $22- $25/hr DOE 

 

 

Responsibilities

• Setup, conduct, and analyze standard field and laboratory tests following prescribed procedures
• Performing testing and inspection of soil/aggregates, concrete, masonry, rebar, and bituminous pavement in the field and laboratory
• Ensure that all testing equipment, work vehicles, and tools are properly calibrated and maintained
• Communicate with Clients, Technicians, and Project Managers on a professional level to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• MNDOT Certifications in SOIL: Aggregate Production and Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Bituminous Plant, Concrete Field, ACI, ETC. (Preferred)
• Valid Driver's License Required
• Related work experience in materials testing or construction is helpful
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
