Overview
Element has a great opportunity for a Group Tax Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term 1 year Basis for Maternity cover.Reporting to the Tax Director, this role will provide support for tax compliance and advisory obligations across a global network. As Group Tax Manager your main responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
• Liaison with the internal Element network and external advisers to ensure tax compliance (primarily corporate income tax) operates efficiently and effectively• Providing tax input on global M&A transactions and subsequent tax integration projects• Preparation of tax accounting schedules for inclusion in year-end group reporting, in line with agreed deadlines• Contributing to CFC, corporate interest restriction, group relief, loss utilisation and foreign exchange planning for the UK group• Preparing and reviewing tax disclosures for UK statutory accounts• Contributing to transfer pricing projects including CbCR and Pillar 2• Supporting on worldwide tax audits, with external adviser support• Liaising with HMRC and supporting the Tax Director with the HMRC relationship• Supporting ad-hoc international tax queries including support around withholding tax• Input as required into regulatory and legislative tax related policies and procedures• Dealing with tax (non-corporate) queries through research and seeking assistance as required• Supporting tax provisioning model set up, integrated into Element’s new group reporting package – Onestream
Skills / Qualifications
• Broad tax technical knowledge gained through practical experience, preferably in an in-house tax role• A qualified accountant plus CTA qualified or specific tax experience• The ability to work independently and do their own research to come to a conclusion• Capable of working under pressure, multi task, prioritise and co-ordinate their own workload• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external advisers• Excellent MS Office skills, in particular strong Excel skills are critical• Accounting systems knowledge or an interest in learning• Excellent attention to detail
