Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Computed Radiographic, NDT Level I to join our growing team. The Computed Radiographic NDT Technician I (CR Level I) will assist and facilitate the testing of specimens using radiographic testing processes and procedures. In this role the technician will be responsible for providing reliable results while paying close attention to safety and project timelines.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust testing equipment to conduct inspections accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepares test specimens, sets up and adjusts test equipment and records test data.
  • Maintains related test equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition.
  • Completes data sheets/work orders using prescribed technology to include x-rays and computers.
  • Provides excellent customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience with or willing to learn X-ray or Gamma Ray sources
  • Have Radiographic Level I per NAS 410 or must complete this requirement within 6 months of hire
  • Be flexible by working flexible hours and overtime when required.
  • Team Player - Willingness to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and learning from experienced professionals.
  • Detail Orientation - Strong focus on accuracy and detail, ensuring that inspection results are reliable and well-documented
  • Eagerness to participate in training programs and pursue NDT certification as part of professional development.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience testing some combination of: Welds, castings, steel, titanium and aluminum, preferred 
  • Experience using industry specs such as: ASTM E1 742, Boeing, GE, Honeywell and Pratt, preferred
