What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Human Resources Business Partner position at Element Materials Technology?
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will be a key member of the Aerospace & Energy (A&E) HR team whose primary responsibility is to provide high-quality, up to date and consistent guidance across all HR topics including but not limited to Talent Management, Engagement and Retention, Organizational Design and D, E&I. This role will support the PQT (Product Quality Testing) and Commercial Division within the A&E Business Unit.
In this role, you will serve as a creative problem solver working with senior leadership team to develop and deliver innovative people solutions for your customer group. This includes effectively transitioning between tactical HR tasks and strategic projects that will help ensure your customer group successfully delivers its strategic and financial goals.

Location: hybrid, 3 days in our Huntsville Alabama location.
Salary: up to 125K (plus bonus)
What you will do:
- Serve as a trusted business partner to Divisional Directors and management teams, proactively providing advice and guidance across all people activities e.g. leadership capability and workforce planning with the vision of building engaged and high-performing teams with a culture of internal career progression
- Utilizing and maintaining people data, analytics and metrics to develop solutions that address gaps and capitalize on opportunities e.g. building data into retention actions and strategies
- Applying sophisticated knowledge of relevant labor law and exercising good judgment to effectively resolve employee relations issues in partnership with leaders, and legal advisors as required
- Ensuring end-to-end HR service delivery by maintaining partnerships across all People functions e.g. working with Talent Acquisition to develop strategic plans for recruitment, working with HRSS to support colleague documentation being produced in a timely and accurate manner
- Championing Talent Management by facilitating key processes e.g. 9 box grids, succession planning, and supporting managers with performance improvement discussions
- Partner with local leaders to set plans and implement programs to achieve D, E&I goals and employee engagement initiatives
- Monitor and manage adherence to HR policies and procedures
- Grows the local talent pool by hiring and retaining top talents across the customer base
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- Proven experience with an HR Business partnership, or HR operations role
- Demonstrated ability to be part of a senior leadership team which achieves successful outcomes
- Ability to meet deadlines, priorities and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel, IT literacy and experience with HR systems/data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work and interact with all levels of colleagues across the company
- Experience with integrating businesses
- Travel will be required
