Overview
Element has an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our Safety Critical Certification Body. Working remotely (or from our Warrington facility) the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the certification process by conducting design reviews, technical assessments, and performing site inspections to ensure compliance with scheme regulations and standards. Responsibilities
Design Reviews :
Evaluate fire sprinkler and suppression system designs for compliance with our certification scheme and relevant UK and international standards, including :
BS EN 12845 (Fixed Firefighting Systems - Automatic Sprinkler Systems for Commercial and Industrial)
- BS 9251 & 16925 (Fire Sprinkler Systems for Domestic and Residential Occupancies)
- BS 8458 and BS 8489 (Water Mist Systems)
- Building Regulations / Code of practice and other applicable guidance
- Verify hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and system layouts to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
