We are a third party billing company that is searching for exceptional individuals to join our Insurance Verification Team.
Job Summary:
Responsible for verifying patient eligibility, and determining patient coverage for services including, but not limited to major medical and behavioral health insurance benefits and complex insurance plan verification. An Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for ensuring that a patients' health care benefits are covered and to verify coverage levels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verifies patient insurance coverage of services, checks applicable billing codes and verifies if state licenser or other accreditations are required for treatment.
- Utilizes all available resources to obtain and enter insurance coverage information into the patient’s file.
- Completes a full verification of benefits for all covered services including treatment and ancillary services.
- Notifies verification manager of any financial responsibility of services provided and requested services that are not provided by the facility.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Compensation based on experience
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5pm
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Insurance verification: 1 year (Required)
- Medical Billing: 1 year (Preferred)
