Who are we looking for?
The Director Domestic Tax Operations will work as part of the Corporate Tax team and will primarily provide support within the global tax operations function. You will review calculations and journal entries prepared by Tax Managers, work on various process improvement projects, and bear responsibility for the US consolidated tax provision and related disclosures. The Director Domestic Tax Operations will also have a secondary role within the broader Tax Operations group including, but not limited to, assisting with reporting, documentation, and preparation of U.S. tax returns, reviewing US provision to return calculations, modelling tax planning opportunities and improving cash tax reporting and planning.
What will you be doing?
- Review consolidated income tax quarterly and annual financial statement calculations.
- Improve the global forecasting within the tax provision with the goal of creating additional efficiencies, reviewing valuation allowance and uncertain tax position calculations, supporting the integration of prospective mergers and acquisitions and managing relationships with our third-party auditors.
- Preparation and review of various tax accounting calculations, for example related to valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, purchase accounting and stock compensation.
- Analyzing existing tax accounting processes and identifying areas of improvement.
- Drafting and reviewing tax related disclosures within the financial statements.
- Other responsibilities regarding global tax compliance and cash tax functions.
Who are You?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience along with CPA preferred
- 12 years of experience working in global tax field
- Experience in managing worldwide engagements on tight timelines
- Experience in working with financial statement auditors and closing financial statements
