Position Overview
As a DevSecOps Engineer at Element, you will play a central role in continuing the modernization of our federal client's software development and operational processes. This role requires working with multiple multidisciplinary software development, testing, and operations teams. You'll be responsible for streamlining software development and deployment processes, ensuring security, reliability, efficiency, and the rapid deployment of software products. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of deployment and security best practices, cloud services, and DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand and sharpen Cloud and DevOps skills across diverse technologies.
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines to automate the deployment of software and infrastructure.
- Utilize AWS services to architect and implement secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure platforms for software engineering teams.
- Utilize IaC and orchestration tools like TerraformWork with tools such as Jira, Git, and Confluence to facilitate efficient project management and collaboration.
- Proactively explore alternatives and prototype solutions to validate hypothetical architectures.
- Update existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineering and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Support engineering teams in cloud environments.
- Establish a process to proactively control and manage changes to environmentsBe an active participant in program increment (PI) planning.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000-$185,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
