About the Role
The Senior Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for conducting release, stability, and special request testing of finished products and raw materials following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in-house test methods, and/or compendial methods.
Main Responsibilities
- Reporting to Quality Control Management, you will perform laboratory tasks with precision and accuracy.
- You will train on the operation of various instrumentation, including Laboratory Balances, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Automated Titrators, FTIR, UV/Vis Spectrophotometer, Polarimeter, Dissolution and Disintegration Instrumentation.
- Staying current with publications from USP, FDA, and other regulatory bodies, you will ensure the Quality Control laboratory complies with analytical applications, release specifications, and documentation practices.
- You will assist QC management and/or designee in resolving Out of Specification (OOS) results in the QC Laboratory, communicating effectively with relevant teams.
- You will also assist in training new laboratory personnel and document training in accordance with established laboratory SOPs and the company training program.
- Maintaining a safe working environment, you will ensure that all equipment used in testing procedures is calibrated and properly maintained.
- You will participate in specific projects assigned by management and other necessary functions.
- Regular attendance is required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have 0-5 years of laboratory experience working in a cGMP environment, preferably with operation of laboratory instrumentation including GC and/or LC, troubleshooting, generation and revision of operating procedures and test methods.
You will possess effective interpersonal, self-motivation skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in a science-related field such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology is preferred.
