The Inventory Analyst Intern will support the Inventory team by applying core analysis techniques such as process flow design, productivity measures, data collection, and computational analysis during the summer internship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in inventory management, process improvement, and inventory control while contributing to the optimization of the company's operational workflows.
Our internship program is designed to create a learning environment where students can apply classroom knowledge in a real work environment. Learn and work alongside our inclusive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial team members while you complete strategic project work for the business. Candidates must be available for 12 consecutive weeks during the summer months, with the program expected to run from Late May to mid-August. This role is on-site, and will be based out of our Edina, MN location. The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings consistently. Other responsibilities include :
- Partner with Inventory Control to understand material and data flow, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements using available technology.
- Create, update, and maintain clear and concise documentation, including work instructions, reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze inventory problems and implement effective solutions.
- Apply lean manufacturing methods to identify inventory needs and improve processes.
- Present findings and experiences to management at the end of the internship period.
- Assist with additional duties or projects as assigned.
